Aran jumper week 1

The wool arrived on monday and I couldn't help myself, I had to start knitting. So far I've learned how to k1tbl and p1tbl. I also seem to be getting the cable stitches working properly. At least they look right. I think my increasing is probably not entirely elegant but it too appears to be working. This is probably half a sleeve. It is one complete cable pattern. I'll probably need another whole pattern for the sleeve but there is supposed to be some decreasing in there too. I guess I'll find out how that works next week. Stay tuned for the next installment.
