sunday seven

1/ pants - I got new track pants from a swap evening. I think they belonged to Bel. She throws away very classy track pants. Much better than the sort I buy new.

2/ Hairy Maclary tickets - a rather cunning show that I'm glad I got to see.

3/ Very glad that the neices and brother slept at a nearby B&B. It was fun to see them but it was also such a relief to have a quiet house in the evenings. We could have squished everyone in if we had to but I think I would have also gone completely homicidal after a short time.

4/ found car key. I took everyone to the Armory Park. We flew kites and the kids had a hoot playing on the cunning swings and in the fountains. Somehow I managed to drop the car key during the kite flying. I noticed soon after and calmly collected the kids off the flying fox and started checking the ground where the kites were. Within a minute, Crankmaster found it. The child that can't find anything in his room managed to spot the key in the grass. Clever lad! He got an extra treat for that. Panic and crisis averted.

5/ new knitting project. Sleeve number one abut halfway there. I follow the recipe and the cabling works. It's cunning. I even managed to spot a cabling mistake and fix it without having to pull out the whole row. I feel like I can do this thing.

6/ gardening. I finally potted my catnip and the lemon verbena is in the ground in the front yard thanks to MrTops digging a big hole. We all had fun ripping out the massive jade plant that was there. There was a water meter under it. I never knew. I bet no one has read that for years. No wonder we never see any water bills. Mind you, if we were required to pay the water bill I'd be hassling the estate agent to fix the besquillion leaks in the system.

7/ Mini figure dalek. It was a silly spontaneous purchase but I used a gift card to buy it. Amusing gift for us all.
